Well Child Check-ups – Eastern Hills providers want your child to be as healthy as possible. Regularly scheduled check-ups help to ensure your child is growing and developing well. We do check-ups during all of our regular office hours including Saturdays. Plan ahead and schedule your child’s yearly check-up. It is our policy to require parents to accompany minor children to check-up appointments.

Sports Physicals – If your son or daughter is going to participate in a school sport he or she may need a sports physical. It is our policy to perform an annual physical to validate a sports physical form. Schedule your child’s appointment early as appointments fill quickly. Our office policy requires that a parent accompany their children to their sports physicals.

Immunizations – We believe in the value and efficacy of childhood, and adolescent immunizations. Eastern Hills Pediatrics strives to immunize your children according to the reccomendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the CDC. If you have questions about your child’s immunizations we encourage you to talk to us about your concerns.

Specialized immunizations – Eastern Hills offers some special immunizations. Call for details.

In Office Lead Screening – Screening your child for lead exposure is an important part of well child care. For you convenience we can now offer this test for your child in our office.

ADHD Assessment and Management – Eastern Hills Pediatrics is part of the Children’s Hospital Medical Cernter ADHD Collaborative. Together we provide a comprehensive approach to the evaluation and management of ADHD. Using a web portal system we can streamline evaluations and communication with parents and teachers.

Asthma Management – We provide close monitoring for our children who have been diagnosed with asthma. Our participation in the Children’s Hospital Asthma Initiative enables us to provide the most up-to-date care and education in the management of your child’s asthma.

Breastfeeding Support – We have a certified IBCLC lactation consultant on staff providing timely evaluation and support for our nursing mothers. We are Medella® breast pump dealers and can offer our mother ’s discounts on Medella pumps and products.

Telephone Triage – We provide 24 hour phone triage with a registered nurse. Our staff of registered nurses are trained and ready to take your calls and answer your questions from 8am to close Monday through Saturday. After hours this triage service is provided by the nurses at the Akron Children’s Hospital who have 24 hour access to our physicians.

New Parent Visits – We provide monthly new-parent orientation visits with one of our providers. Meet us in a casual Friday evening session to see our office and learn about us. Call to schedule a visit. We look forward to meeting you.

Hospital Visits – Eastern Hills physicians and nurse practitioner will see newborns at Mercy Anderson Hospital. All of our newborn babies will be seen within the first 24 hours of life, and then each day until they are discharged.

Wart Removal – Warts are a common problem in pediatrics often requiring a visit to the dermatologist. In most cases we can take care of this problem right in our office. Let the appointment desk know you would like us to assess this problem so we can plan sufficient time for the visit.
